What is the Heartland Festival all about?

Heartlands Festival returns for its third edition from 1 December 2023 to 31 January 2024.

This year under the banner of ‘Celebrating the Community’, we are shining light on Singapore’s heartlands are a treasure trove of vibrant neighbourhoods that have shaped the nation’s identity, showcasing diversity, inclusivity, and authenticity. The Heartlands Festival is not just a festival, but a journey into the heart and soul of Singapore, paying tribute to the unsung heroes of these heartlands.

Organised by the Heartland Enterprise Centre Singapore (HECS), The Federation of Merchants’ Associations Singapore (FMAS), and supported by Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG), Housing & Development Board (HDB) and People’s Association (PA). This annual extravaganza unveils the essence of our heartlands like never before.

How do I participate in the Heartlands Quest?

Here’s how you can get started on earning those digital stamps for the Heartlands Quest:

    1. Go over to the Heartlands Quest tab under Programmes page and keep an eye out for the QR code. Just scan the code, and voila! You’re on your way to registering for the quest.
    2. Download the map: On the page you will find a link that allows you to download the quest map, which will prove essential on your quest in accumulating points.
    3. Once you’ve gotten the map and registered for the digital passport via the links provided, it marks the beginning of your exciting journey through the Heartlands Quest.

Look out for the incentives you get to earn as you go along!

What is the difference between Heartlands Odyssey and Heartlands Quest?

The Heartlands Odyssey would require participants to turn up at a specific time and day to take part in the challenges, whereas the Heartlands Quest is a self-guided immersive trail that allows participants to go around Singapore on their own time and pace.

How do I participate in the Nets Lucky Draw Month?

Tap to pay with NETS during the NETS Lucky Draw Month (run period: 1-31 Jan 2024) and receive additional (+2) chances in the Lucky Draw.

Every $10 spent gives you one lucky draw chance. This means a submission of a S$35 receipt paid via NETS contactless will give you a total of five (5) chances in the Lucky Draw during the NETS Lucky Draw Month.

How do I know which shop or food stall of malls qualifies for the lucky draw?
  1. A heartland shop or food stall is any shop and/or food stall located in the HDB neighbourhoods of Singapore or HDB shopping complexes i.e. Loyang Point, Oasis Terraces, or Pioneer Mall. For a full list of qualifying malls, click here

    E-payment transactions (e.g NETS, PayNow, FavePay, GrabPay etc.) will also be awarded an additional (+1) chance. Any purchase of statutory items (4D, Singapore Sweep, TOTO), cigarettes, prescription, pharmacy-only-medicines and petrol will not qualify in this lucky draw as well.

  2. Stores in private/commercially owned shopping malls i.e. Bugis Junction, Great World City or Tanglin Mall do not qualify do not qualify for the lucky draw.

Does my purchase in Sheng Shiong/NTUC/Cold Storage/Giant also qualify for the lucky draw?

Yes as long as they are located in the neighbourhoods of Singapore or in HDB shopping complexes i.e. Loyang Point, Oasis Terraces, or Pioneer Mall. For a full list of qualifying malls, click here

How long is the festival happening for?

It commences on 1 December 2023 and ends 31 January 2024.
